Cabbage stamp in computer processing.
About the artwork "Ripples of Light" from the Birkhon "Al HaAretz HaTovah" for Independence Day:
I started the process with contemplation and experimenting with vegetables and fruits. I created a color stamp from a cabbage and processed it with my computer. A tree grew up out of the cabbage, colored with optimistic colorfulness, as if carrying hope, ripples of light.
My inspiration was the words "sow", "reap", "sheaves" from the Song of Ascents, Birkat Hamazon and the recognition of sustenance and the yield of the land.
This inspiration led me to the worlds of echoing, ripples of goodness, like a stone that falls down in the middle of a lake and circles are created around it.
How can I, as an artist, a creator, echo the miracle of "Al HaNisim"?
How do I throw the first stone, which the ripples are created around it?
I went to an inspiration journey. I touched the yield of the land: beet, onion, mushrooms, cauliflower.
I looked. I smelt. The realization came from a technique of food stamps in different colors, the touch of the blessing of food with food and making it an integral part, the miracle of the artwork. The base of the painting is a 14*14cm, from which I went to the journey of creating the final image.
